Description
Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house which started selling bottles of Champagne from 1729. Prior to that the family’s business was really cotton, but as they began to provide customers free bottles of Champagne as a ‘thank you’ the demand for their fizz quickly meant that their attentions were soon fully on Champagne rather than the business of old. Today the cellars are beautiful and a World Heritage site in their own right.
Beautifully balanced and refined in texture, this displays exotic ground spice and floral accents to the flavors of poached white peach, Meyer lemon and candied ginger, with hints of pastry and honey. Very intense nose with sour green fruit and a strong salty note.
