Description
The story of Domaine Hubert Brochard begins with Aimée and Hubert Brochard in 1900. The couple tended to the land with only the assistance of two draft horses until their son, Henri, joined the family business. Too young to join the army but old enough for farmwork, Henri would eventually oversee the estate’s transition from mixed farming to a focus on vine cultivation. Their three children would also help on the estate, with their son Daniel and his wife taking over its management in the 1980’s. Daniel would once again push the estate in a new direction, acquiring new plots in Chavignol and Sancerre, while developing the domaine’s range to focus on terroir-driven wines.
